Zagreb have in 'Matchbox' sports hall celebrated against Meshkov with 28:24 securing position 3 after the regular part of the season in the final match of SEHA gazprpzom League in Zagreb for this season.

After first 30 minutes Meshkov were 1 goal ahead but in the second half hosts have managed to break Belarus team' resistance and on wings of Pavlović who has finished the game with 6 and Vujić who netted 5 times for 'Lions' to secure position 3 after the regular part of the season and the match against Vardar in F4' semis in Varaždin. PPD Zagreb might even go to Varaždin as second after the regular part of the season in case Meshkov manage to beat Vardar at home in the last round but they would still face Vardar which would in such situation most certainly finish as third. Kristopans, Stojković and Tioumentsev have scored 6 goals each for Meshkov which was unfortunately for them not enough to avoid matchup against MVM Veszprem in semi-final in Varaždin which coach Bebeshko was hoping to avoid or at least delay until final day.

Ivan stevanović was once again on the highest level for hosts with 13 saves most of which in the second half when defense was working perfectly which in the end was the biggest reason for PPD Zagreb' triumph. In their final matches of the regular part of the season Zagreb will travel to Novi Sad to meet Vojvodina and Meshkov will host Vardar.

We did not play as we usually do. Our scoring percentage was quite poor and on top of that Zagreb' goalie Stevanović was remarkable. Well deserved victory. Now it is time to rest and I hope we'll meet Zagreb in both SEHA' F5 and Champions League!

Veselin Vujović, PPD Zagreb' coach:

Really good, interesting match. Strong Meshkov in every aspect of the game. We've experienced certain problems with stojković in first 30 but in the second we've managed to make that part of our game function better because we were aware how important part of their game that is. Defense was problem in the first part, attack with three right-handers not so bad. Stevanović was there to make-up for our mistakes and in the end we've managed to take this win with good shooting ratio.

High-quality match that's for sure. We did not make it in final 15 minutes, we were too tired and Stevanović was outstanding which was the key factor. But real things are still ahead of us.   

Zlatko Horvat, PPD Zagreb' player:

Each player deserves congrats for such a match. I've seen some things from the bench I usually miss when I am on court. We've managed to wake up after the first part and Stevanović was there to finish off the match in a great way. It is nice to win matches like this.
